FIAT 500 Is A Top Safety Pick
Many people choose smaller cars for their fuel efficiency and agility in navigating congested city landscapes, never for their safety. In the past few years that has changed. So called “mini cars” are now loaded with all kinds of safety technology. Crumple zones, reinforced cockpits, airbags, airbags, and more airbags are changing the game.
The FIAT 500 which was recently reintroduced to the U.S. has been awarded the “Top Safety Pick” by the International Institute for Highway Safety. Apparently the little guy performed well in front, side, and rear impact evaluations. The 500 was also thrown some props for including electronic stability control as a standard feature.
