‘Lose Yourself’ By ‘Selected of God’ Choir Available On iTunes; Proceeds For Charity

The Detroit choir, ‘Selected of God’ has recorded a gospel version of Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ and created a music video to go along with it that was filmed throughout Detroit by the Chrysler brand.
You can watch the music video on YouTube and when you just can’t get enough of the song, you can purchase it on iTunes for only 99 cents! The best part of it all is that in keeping up with the ‘Imported from Detroit’ movement-never give up, always give back- all of the proceeds from the song being purchased go directly to three local Detroit charities:
1. Abayomi Community Development Corporation– Abayomi has provided community and economic development, education, and recreation programs to over 8,000 youth and families in the far Northwest and metropolitan Detroit area for over 10 years.

2.The Yuinon– An innovative, faith-based, holistic youth development organization that has a philosophy rooted in relationship. More so than a program, Yuinon has found that a lasting relationship between a caring adult and youth has proven to be the most effective way to truly encourage and support youth through partnerships with schools, community groups, juvenile detention centers, and churches.
3. Robert S. Shumake Scholarship Foundation– A premier class A track and field competition for high school students across the nation. The foundation is unique in that it has a dual focus of both athletic ability and academic performance. Prizes are awarded to the athlete on each team with the highest grade point average, teams with the highest score at the end of the meet and athletes who place 1st through 8th.
